Turquoise Coast

We left our cozy place at the seaside and went further south today. Via Jurien Bay we drove along the Indian Ocean Drive to Cervantes. The coast here is called Turquoise Coast for a reason – there are beautiful beaches here. The gentleman at the reception of our campsite told me joyfully that they would often see dolphins here on the beach, and the rays would swim right between your legs! (Hurray.) Our visit to the beach this afternoon did confirm that – not the dolphins, unfortunately, but the rays. To the regret of my husband, they just sped away with a relaxed fin strike, much faster than he could follow…
