100 years ago, about 3000 people lived in Greenbushes and it had 8 hotels. That was at the height of the tin mining boom. Nowadays, it is a nice, quiet village. The mine still exists and is still in business, but naturally there is much less manpower needed than in the past.

Around Greenbushes Pool, a quarry pond from the mining days, a free (donation based) campground has been installed. There is a path leading around the pool, and a few hundred metres walk through the forest take you into Greenbushes.

It’s a very nice place to stay for a few days.
